Eva Pires celebrates 10 years at agap2IT and shares her journey with us, the lessons learned along the way, and how proximity, team support, and the drive to keep evolving have defined this decade.

🧭 Time Travel

If you had to summarize these 10 years in one word, what would it be?

It’s been 10 excellent years! I’ve always been able to count on everyone's support and good spirits; they have been years of stability and growth.

On your first day at agap2IT, what was your first impression of the company?

A place where I could find friendly and accessible colleagues, where I could feel at ease and grow within the IT field.

And what has changed since then?

I think the biggest change was undoubtedly the COVID-19 era; it took the country by surprise and many habits had to be changed overnight. agap2IT knew how to adjust to this massive challenge. The best compliment I can give is that, amidst all that uncertainty with lockdown and what the future would hold, very little changed in my work and daily tasks. This indicates an excellent ability to adapt quickly to a completely different world.

🤝 Culture and Connections

What makes you truly feel like part of the "house"?

In my case, I work almost 100% remotely. It can be a challenge, but I feel very well integrated into agap2IT. Whenever I am in contact with other colleagues, there is always a sense of familiarity, proximity, and good humor.

If you could give one piece of advice to your "self" from 10 years ago, what would it be?

Trust the process and go for it without fear! You are in the right place.

What have you learned here that you will take with you for life - personally or professionally?

To face all challenges, whether big or small, with good humor and never giving up. We are never alone, and we will always find someone by our side.

It’s been 10 years where I have grown both as a person and as a professional; they have been very good years.

The future is full of surprises for me; I don't know exactly what will come, but I am confident and have high expectations for what I will find.
