“From Zero to Cyber Hero” – A New Free Cybersecurity Training Programme

Highdome, the cybersecurity division of agap2IT, has launched the Cybersecurity Academy, an initiative created to raise awareness among IT professionals and the general public, while also aiming to develop new talent in the field.
Enrolment is now open for the first course – “From Zero to Cyber Hero” – which begins in July and is designed to provide essential knowledge to professionals and support individuals taking their first steps into this high-demand sector. Job opportunities in cybersecurity have grown by 350% between 2013 and 2021, with an estimated 3.5 million professionals needed globally today – a figure expected to hold steady through 2025.
The free “From Zero to Cyber Hero” course, delivered in English over a three-month period, is ideal for those wanting to explore cybersecurity for the first time. This flexible programme covers the fundamentals of cybersecurity, focusing on building practical skills to help mitigate risks and protect organisations against threats. Participants will gain not only technical knowledge but also key tools to launch a successful career in cybersecurity. The training includes a blend of theoretical and practical learning, weekly live Q&A sessions, and access to Highdome’s cybersecurity community.
Upon completion, learners will be equipped to pursue entry-level roles such as: Cyber Defence Analyst, Blue Teamer, Red Teamer, Pentester, Cyber Defence Infrastructure Support Specialist, Bug Bounty Hunter, Network Operations Specialist, among others.
“Cybersecurity is one of the greatest challenges facing companies today. Technology plays a key role in protection, but people must also be aware of the importance of cultivating a strong Human Firewall culture within their organisation. With this academy, we want to give a large number of people the chance to expand their knowledge and gain effective tools for their daily lives,” explains Marcelo Nascimento, Head of Cybersecurity at Highdome, part of agap2IT.
The concept of the Human Firewall culture was introduced by Highdome, the cybersecurity arm of agap2IT.
Launched by agap2IT in April, Highdome is focused on embedding a cybersecurity mindset across partner organisations and within broader society. It implements tools and practices that ensure all stakeholders are aware of the importance of protecting sensitive information and are able to identify and respond to potential cyber threats. This is also the central aim of the Highdome Cybersecurity Academy – to make cybersecurity education accessible and free for everyone.
