Context and Goal
EPAL aimed to enhance its mobile application by offering customers a more comprehensive, modern, and digital experience, strengthening efficiency and engagement in managing water supply contracts in Portugal. The goal was to deliver an integrated platform that simplifies daily operations, reduces bureaucracy, and increases convenience for both citizens and businesses.
Challenges
- Building a single application for both individual and multi-company customers.
- Integrating critical features such as billing, payments, and consumption history.
- Ensuring security with GOV authentication.
- Providing digital channels for support requests and anomaly reporting.
Solution
Through ongoing analysis and implementation, agap2IT developed the MyAqua 2.0 application, featuring:
- GOV authentication for enhanced security.
- Management of multi-company contracts with dedicated gateway integration.
- Submission and monitoring of assistance requests and anomaly reports.
- Viewing and downloading invoices, with in-app payments via ATM reference or MBWay (integrated with the SIBS Digital Payment Gateway).
- Access to reading and communication history.
- A news and updates section from the water supply entity.
