Context and Goal
Mobyfinder showcases agap2IT (DXSpark)’s expertise in Android Automotive OS (AAOS), developed as a Templated Application for Google Built-In cars. The aim was to deliver real-time, personalised insights on electric vehicle charging stations, supporting smarter charging decisions and enhancing the e-mobility experience.
Challenges
- Integrating real-time data from the MOBI.E charging network.
- Providing personalised recommendations on charging time and cost based on each vehicle’s charging curve.
- Predicting availability of occupied charging stations to reduce user waiting time.
Solution
Developed in Kotlin, the app integrates seamlessly with the MOBI.E API and was built as a Templated App for Google AAOS. Key features include:
- Real-time station data: location, plug types, power ratings, and availability.
- Personalised charging insights: estimated time and cost for a full charge based on the user’s vehicle.
- AI-driven predictions: forecasting when busy stations will become available, enhancing user planning.
